The next Arts Guild concert is on Sunday 5^th October when The Gabriel Latchin Trio will play Gershwin – new arrangements of such favourites as Summertime, Someone to watch over me and I got Rhythm.

Pianist Gabriel Latchin is recognised as “the best straight-ahead jazz pianist to appear in the past few years" (The Guardian) and praised internationally by critics and world-renowned musicians alike. The line-up includes Scottish jazz bassist, composer and bandleader Calum Gourlay and London-based drummer Josh Morrison.

The Trio is now a major highlight on the UK jazz scene and has also been featured in ‘Downbeat’ (USA) and Jazz Japan. Inspired by jazz greats Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson and Herbie Hancock, the Trio has been praised as “elegant, swinging and tasteful” (Renée Fleming)

The concert starts at 3pm in the Cathedral. Admission is by donation – no tickets needed.
